Proposed method for sludge removal from each tank Sludge has formed through settling from Heavy Fuel Oil (Bunker 150) over the last 15 years and may have either solidified or less viscous than Bunker 150. Physical removal of all sludge may not be possible. The proposal needs to look at the best possible way to remove such sludge in the shortest possible time and in the safest way. 2. Proposed cleaning method for each tank Cleaning is required to ensure that there is no Fuel Oil left that can be a risk of fire and/or explosions. The proposal needs to look at the best way to clean the tanks in order to eliminate the risk of fire and/or explosion of the tanks caused by Fuel Oil. 3. Proposed disposal method for liquids and solids After sludge removal and cleaning of the tanks the Hazardous Waste need to be removed from site and disposed of. This will require compliance with the most recent Environmental Regulations for Hazardous Waste. The proposal needs to look at which methods will be used for disposal and also where the disposal will take place. Must be disposed of at a certified waste disposal site in accordance with the Waste Management Act.
