RFQ Type Goods Goods Tools & Machinery Reference Number GD12400128 Title Sediment grab sampler Description 1 each x sediment grab sampler Specification* The grab sampler should be appropiate for sampling sand, silt or non-cohesive material with a maximum sample depth of >10 m. It should consist of hinged scissor jaws that close as the sampler is lifted after sampling and ave approximate dimensions of 152 x 152 x 152 millimetres and sample capacity of 3.5 litres. The device should be light weight that enables fast deployment and which will reduced sediment losss during sampling. The device should be composed of strong stainless steel, (appoximate weight 5.9 - 7 kg) and have spring loaded closing mechanisms. The closing mechanism should be triggered by a messenger that travels down an attached rope. The grab sampler/device should therefore include a grab messenger, a grab cable kit (30 m), a handle (5ft) and a nylon rope (100 ft) and a carry case. Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent".
