Sample bags should contain a third layer of finely perforated film, which filters out solids in the blended/homogenized sample, allowing the liquid sample to be pipetted easily. The sample bags must be sterile, and sterility must be tested or approved by a ISO certified laboratory. The sterility certificates should be available upon request. The sample bags need to have a sealing mechanisms which renders them airtight and liquid tight to prevent liquid leakage and contamination. The liquid collection section of the bag should be rounded, to prevent liquid being trap at the corner of the bag. The sample bags need to have a labeling area for relevant sample information. The sample bag must be made from extra strength thick clear film of atleast 0.1mm *NB The Municipal Bidding Document 6.1 (MBD 6.1) has been amended, in order to be eligible for preference points bidders are required to submit a duly completed MBD 6.1 document with supporting documents with each and every RFQ submission.
