RFQ Type Goods Goods MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES & SUPPLIE Reference Number GN12300829 Title Simplate for heterotrophic plate count Description 1 activity unit x simplate for heterotrophic plate count Specification* SimPlate for Heterotrophic plate count (HPC) Specification ?The technology must be US EPA-approved and be able to be used for water and wastewatersamples # Internal quality control testing for the technology should be performed in accordance with ISO 11133 2014, the supplier should be able to provide the quality control certificate upon request # The company must be able to provide the quality certificate upon request #The supplier must be able to provide acertificate of analysis (COA) for the kit upon request #Must have a shelf life of at least 6 months upon arrival at Scientific services branch #The technology must be able to detect viable bacteria in water sample #The technology must be an agar free technology, easy to read and based on the Most probable number (MPN) method and the supplier must provide the MPN table #Must be easy to prepare not exceeding 2 minutes of hands on time (fewer steps required than the plate count agar pour plate method). #The technology must be able to reduce chances of contamination and subjective interpretation of results. #The technology must contain the following sterile contents sufficient for at least 100 assays and packaged in suitable sterile containers. The quantities must be sufficient for the full amount of assays in the kit, consisting of 1) sterile media vessels containing the enzyme substrate for analysis of 100 mL volume water samples 2) sterile plates with lids #The results for analysis using thistechnology should be obtainable after an incubation period not exceeding 48 hoursat a temperature of around 35°C #The tehnology must be able to fluoresce blueunder UV light which will indicate metabolism of various enzyme substrates by hetetrophicbacteria #The results must correlate with plate agar pourplate method " Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent Allocation of Preference Points In order to qualify for preference points, it is the responsibility of the bidder to Submit a duly completed MBD 6.1 form (bidders must indicate how they claim points for each specific goal) Submit documentary proof of updated BBBEE certificate/sworn affidavit and/or CIPC certificate with each RFQ submission to validate specific goals. (if a bidder is registered and active on the City#s Supplier Database and has submitted the BBBEE certificate/ Sworn affidavit/ CIPC certificate, the submission of said documents is not necessary).
