Tender Description:

RFQ Type Goods Goods Tools & Machinery Reference Number GD12300934 Title Milli-di Description 1 each x milli-di Specification* Milli-Di SPECIFICATIONS Deionised water/ demineralised water is laboratory grade water that is free of ions and organic matter that could potentially interfere with lab analysis. This type of water is required to produce the most reliable results which are then used to make informed decisions relating to the process operation, ensuring confidence in the quality of water produced, as well as meeting all legislative requirements relating to operation and maintenance of a potable water treatment plant. Blackheath Water Treatment plant performs lab analysis to make process adjustments and ensure overall compliance to drinking water standards and the following parameters are performed on a daily/ regular basis # pH # UV 254 # Colour # Turbidity # Aluminium # Total Iron # Conductivity # Alkalinity # Free Chlorine These physical/chemical parameters listed are analysed using colorimetric (including spectrophotometry) and electrochemical (pH and conductivity) analysers which make use of specialised lamps, lenses, electrodes and sensors to give accurate readings. As such these methods of analysis are prone to interferences and require demineralised water for sample preparation and instrument cleaning to minimise interferences with analytes and to ensure the longevity of the instruments.
