Supply, installation, commissioning and industrial weighing systems for municipal water meter testing in accordance with SANS 1529 and Weight system must be Calibrated by SANAS Laboratory or NRCS verification Laboratory. 2. Applicable Standards and Regulations Legal Metrology Act, 2014 (Act 9 of 2014) SANS 169 – Legal metrology requirements for weighing instruments OIML R 76 – Non-automatic weighing instruments SANS 1529 – Water meters for cold potable water NRCS verification and sealing required 3. Technical Requirements – Weighing Terminal • IP65 industrial weighing terminal • Aluminium die-cast housing • Class III approved • RS232 communication • Suitable for wet industrial environments 4. Technical Requirements – Weighing Platform • Capacity minimum 120 kg • Readability 2 g • Verification interval 20 g • Platform size approx. 400 x 500 mm • Stainless steel load plate • IP65 protection 5. Verification and Certification Initial verification and sealing by NRCS or approved authority. Verification certificates must be supplied OR SANAS Calibration Cert ificate . 6. .
