RFQ Type Goods Goods Chemicals Reference Number GC12600100 Title Cleaning materials Description 15 each x bio-rem brics (40x20x10 cm) infused wit Specification* 15 x Bio-Rem Brics (40x20x10 cm) infused with selected microbial consortia *SPECIFICATIONS* Slow-release biodegradable bio-enzyme bricks/blocks for the treatment of the City of Cape Town's polluted environmental waters (rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, estuaries, dams, open canals, etc.). Treats sewage-polluted environmental waters (rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, estuaries, dams, open canals, etc.) by means of slow-release bio-enzyme products The product shall be in a solid form (i.e., no liquids or gases). The product shall not be in a powdered form. The product shall be biodegradable The product shall have the following treatment characteristics o Decompose organic material and pollutants o Reduce malodours o Improve water clarity (turbidity) Improve the overall water quality of natural aquatic systems The product shall be cost-effective. The product requires minimal human intervention and maintenance. The product(s) may be used in a constructed "weir-like" manner in order to reduce the flow rate and treat the polluted environmental waters.
