GUIDELINE Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent". *Specifications* The Gram staining kit is used during a differential staining technique, in microbiology. Gram staining is used to assist the analyst in the visualization of bacterial cells and thus preliminary identification of bacteria based on their Gram status, i.e. whether the bacterial isolate is Gram-negative (pink to red colour) or Gram-positive (blue to purple colour) after following the Gram staining protocol.
