The oil shall be designed for extended service intervals. The oil shall be blended from virgin base stock and containing suitable additives. Samples taken from any portion of the supply shall be free from impurities. No reclaimed oils are to be used. To ensure OEM acceptance, the oil shall be the product of a recognized and established manufacturer. The product shall have OEM approval for vehicles and plant in use by the City of Cape Town. The product shall be listed as approved on the API web site.
