Office Location Eskom Holdings SOC Limited Eskom Tender Box, Ground Floor No.10 Smuts Avenue WITBANK/EMALAHLENI 1035 Mpumalanga Email Address KhambuBB@eskom.co.za Scope Details The trailer will be a white coloured, double axel, run-in braked trailer, designed to operate in uneven terrain. The trailer will have to carry a load above 700kg and have a heavy-duty jockey wheel fitted in front of the A frame, in front of the trailer. The unit will be fitted with off road trailer tires, 255/70R15, that are strengthened on the side walls, and a spare wheel will be supplied. The super structure of the trailer will be a box type fully enclosed with castle corners through the length that will consist of 5 roller shutter doors, 2 on each side and 1 rear, doors will all be lockable. The superstructure will be manufactured from Aluminium. The interior will have 3 heavy-duty pull-out shelves, 2 in front and 1 on the rear, with all equipment that are supplied properly fitted on the shelves. One of the shelves to be a heavy-duty type and must be able to accommodate a generator. A second row of shelving will be fitted above the bottom shelves to make provision for equipment. All shelving to be constructed from 4,5mm aluminium plate and coated with a chip resistant paint. Adequate lighting will be fitted to the trailer interior, for use during night-time incidents. A deep cycle battery system will be fitted in the trailer with a charger that can charge from towing vehicle or 220V to supply power to the lights. An access ladder will be fitted to the front of the trailer to provide easy access to the roof with the necessary grab handles installed. On the roof there will be 3 eyelids on either side to fasten equipment on the roof when needed the trailer spare wheel would also be fitted in place and secured on the roof. All electrical wiring shall conform to a recognized code of practice acceptable to the purchaser. All exposed electrical wiring harnesses shall be supported and attached to body members, along the entire run. At any point where wires or looms must pass through metal, rubber grommets shall be installed to protect the wire from abrasion. Bins and brackets to fit and store the equipment will be part of the tender price. Provision is made for signwriting and reflective striping as per tender specifications.
