RFQ Type Goods Goods Chemicals Reference Number GC12400518 Title Chemicals Description 1 each x somatic coliphages test kit Specification* 1 x rapid kit, consisting of 50 assays, to test for the presence/absence of somatic coliphages in 100ml of water sample Specifications ?The kit must be suitable for testing water matrices that is generally known to have low counts of Somatic coliphages (eg potable water, reclaimed water etc) ?The kit must be able to easily and specifically test for the presence/absence of Somatic coliphages in 100 mL of water sample The kit must be an agar-free technology for the detection of somatic coliphages in water The supplier must be able to provide a certificate of analysis (COA) for the kit upon request The kit must be able to have a shelf life of at least 12 months upon arrival at Scientific Services Branch The kit must contain the following sterile contents and packaged in suitable sterile containers and the quantities must be sufficient for the full amount of assays in the kit 1) 50 x sterile E. coli CB10 host strain vial in a screw-capped vial 2) 50 x Testing botlles for analysis of 100 ml water sample 3) sufficient lyophilised Positive control Bacteriophage ?x174 in sterile, screw-capped vials 4) sufficient sterile PBS for resuspension of the host strain and positive control The results for analysis, using the kit, should be obtainable in at least 6 hours, once incubated The kit must have hands-on-time of no more than 20 min This kit must be able to detect the presence of somatic coliphages in water samples ranging between 0 PFU/100 ml and at least 1000 PFU/100 mL. The kit must have a detection limit of at least 15 pfu/100 mL Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent". *NB The Municipal Bidding Document 6.1 (MBD 6.1) has been amended, in order to be eligible for preference points bidders are required to submit a duly completed MBD 6.1 document with supporting documents with each and every RFQ submission.
