Office Location Eskom Megawatt Park Tender Office Northside (Retail Centre) No1 Maxwell Drive Sunninghill Email Address mhlongh@eskom.co.za Scope Details Provide detailed description and volumes of the product/service requested The Application Delivery Controller devices that are in use are core to Eskom Group IT, delivering application requirements in an optimal, secure and customized way to the end user. Most of Eskom’s top 40 applications are delivered via the Application Delivery Controller devices. These include CC& I, Maximo, OVS, SAP, Mail, CC& B, SharePoint, Loadshedding Website and Integration. These devices are critical to the delivery of applications to the end user by performing Load Balancing, SSL Offload, Reverse proxy as well as special customizations via a scripting feature to improve application performance and operability. The updating of the maintenance and support is imperative to keep downtimes to a minimum, as this is a high-risk environment. The purchasing of professional services is also imperative to quickly fault find any issues that should arise within the environment. We require 80 hours per year for Five (5) years of professional services from the OEM. This will be on a pay as you use basis. Eskom currently has 12 Application Delivery Controllers and 5 Virtual Machines (BIG-IQ Machines). These are all F5 Big IP devices.
